From search and rescue to recreational paddling, this course can be customized to focus on a variety of needs depending on students’ professional and personal boating goals. Whether you spend most of your time in a packraft, kayak, raft or stand up paddleboard this course introduces methods that can help keep you and other river users safe. If you are going to be spending time near moving current, then we highly recommend taking this course as a way to help you find ways to mitigate risk (thereby reducing rescue scenarios) as well as to deal with swift water rescue situations.
At the end of the course you will be given a certificate from the American Canoe Association verifying your participation in the class to fulfill professional requirements.
